Time Zones
According to author John Donne, "Time waits for no man." In
international outsourcing, each time zone represents a loss of opportunity (from
simultaneous collaborative work and communications) and an opportunity to cut
time (from 7 x 24 development by teams on two continents).
Time zones may be a reason to outsource to India, for example. But they may
also be a reason not to do so.
Each international outsourcing transaction should consider the various
impacts of time zones.
